Calling Bella Coola bakers, artists and kids of all ages – here’s a holiday
challenge to brighten a Covid Christmas: an online gingerbread house contest!
Use your imagination to make a gingerbread house, cottage, log cabin or long house. Then submit two photos from different angles of your winter scene by email for a blind judging panel to review. Include something in the picture to show it is from Bella Coola (so we know it is not a photo from the internet). For example, you could put a local name on your building like Snootli Lodge, etc.
Bella Coola Community Forest is sponsoring the contest with $100 prize for first, $75 for second and $50 for third place with an equivalent amount to be donated to the winners favorite charities.
Submitted pictures will be featured on the Bella Coola Community Forest Facebook page and website.
