The Community Forest contributes significantly to achieving a self reliant and sustainable community through a locally controlled, financially sound and responsible community forest business that operates within the sustainable capacity of a healthy environment to enhance the quality of life for all Valley residents.

Introduction

The Bella Coola Community Forest is an initiative where forest resources in the Bella Coola area are managed locally for sustainable local benefit. A Community Forest Agreement with the Province empowers the local Community Forest organization to manage the forest to achieve community goals and aspirations.
