Bella Coola Community Forest is an encompassing term that refers to much of the forest surrounding Bella Coola and the organizational structure set up to manage this forest land base. At the core is the Community Forest Agreement (CFA) licence that the Bella Coola Resource Society holds on behalf of the community. The CFA authorizes the management and harvesting of timber resources and the day to day management of the CFA has been appointed to Bella Coola Community Forest Ltd. All the operational work is conducted by local contractors.
